Light Writer - Photography Effects App Reviews

I really disliked this game, considering it wouldnt even work for me! Its a little to complicated, and doesnt really work the way I thought it would. Its a wonderful idea, something Im sure I would enjoy, but the way the app works right now is too complicated.

This is so bad it doesnt even work--when you start waving it back and forth nothing really happens?! Anyone having the same problem

It just dosnt work. When you wave it back and forth the letters kinda show up but not really. The pictures especially dont work. Overall not worth wasting your battery life on.

Really cool. i always wanted to make an LED writer. Now I can just throw my iphone around!! A couple of tips if its not working well: 1. Adjust your screen brightness. 2. Use time-exposure on your camera, for taking pictures.

The only message this thing should display is: C-R-A-P-! Hell, maybe it does. By the time you figure out how to "do it right," the party is over. Oh wait, you could take a picture and send it to everyone the next day (along with the punchline of the joke you told). No fun!

A waste of time, I looked stupid doing it, thanks iTunes.

The app is not functional and the results you get is not even remotely close to the pictures. Dont waste your money.

Never once got a coherent message out of it no matter how fast or slow or what colors or brightnesses I tried. App should use the accelerometer better rather than just triggering a fixed playback speed when it detects the start of a motion with the phone.

Its pretty good but you arent doing It right I did it first try worked almost perfect second time really good you kinda have to set a steady motion with medium brightness

Ive tried different speeds, different colors, in a dark room, and facing a mirror. I can almost make out a letter or two. Looks like you found a few suckers and made a few bucks though.......

This is not exactly an easy concept to use in an app. I also, as a hobbyist programmer, understand that producing a satisfactory product is no small task. Now, you, the developer, who is doing this for a living, if you want to not just be a good programmer, but a great programmer, you should take my feed back as constructive criticism, and not just some whiner complaining that he or she had their money taken. Their is one key issue with your app, thats usability. May sound sarcastic, but that is critical to success, its why people like gates and jobs have, and in the later case have had, a crap ton of cash. Their software was user friendly. The issue with yours? As at least one person said, you have the scroll speed set real low, that isnt exactly a good thing with pov, and its also a fixed speed, you could do one of two things, allow users to set the scroll speed themselves, our take data from the gyro, and accelerometer, and use that to alter the scroll speed in order to make for a more consistent message, in then end, improving user friendliness.

This app is the best!!!!!!
